Fairy Tail Chapter 169

Wow, so we’re in “alternate universes” now in Fairy Tail and we get to see the Fairy Tail we know and love, but the opposite of their usual selves.

Gray wears excess clothes and is in love with Juvia!?

Cana is a proper non-drinking lady!?!??

and perphaps most shocking of all, Lucy is a foul-mouthed badass!!!?!

Is it odd that among all these character changes in this parallel universe, I can only think how Erza is here? For some reason I’m thinking (if not hoping) that she’ll be a gentle, friendly maid-type. Since there seems to be a pattern of opposite behavior, it’s likely that this universe’s Erza is a polite soft-spoken yandere; something like School Days’ Kotonoha. I put up a new poll on this to see how everyone else thinks this universe’s Erza will be like.

C77 is here, and I got a Wishlist!

C77 has started a few days ago, and I’ve been looking up at my favorite circles to see what they’re up to and here’s what their doing:

Saigado: doing another Kings of Fighters doujinshi (Yuri & Friends 2009: Unparticipation of Mai) it’s obviously revolves around Mai

Happy Water: doing a Saki doujinshi and it seems to feature Nodoka

Bolze: I think they’re doing a To aru Kagaku no Railgun, but I’m not too sure on that

SAZ: doing another To aru Majutsu no Index doujinshi; the next in the Amakusa Moyou na series

Studio Huan: doing a few Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha doujinshis and they’re selling some sexy sheets featuring Nanoha-chan, Fate-chan, and Hayate-chan (the Strikers version of the characters btw)

Fukudahda: doing a Love Plus doujinshi

NiseMIDI: doing a Clannad doujinshi; it seems to feature Kyou

That concludes my list of my favorite circles; I’m definitely gonna be looking for other promising doujinshi as well. If anyone’s interested in the homepages of these circles, let me know and I’ll put them up.  Now I need to start thinking about what doujinshis to buy……..

Hayate no Gotoku ch. 249: Revelations & Decisions!!! PS Spoilers!

The tension from last chapter is diffused with Isumi fanservice courtesy of Sakuya!

So many things happen in this chapter, and there are some implications into Hayate’s past. First Isumi gives Hayate an ultimatum: Nagi or Athena, who is more important? It like a hard choice, and frankly I can see the story going either way. The real interesting part of the story though comes in this little picture below:

I honestly didn’t think they would bring up the whole “Santa Claus” thing again, and definitely not in this context. It seems Mikado has something to do with Hayate’s fixation with Santa Claus, and it’s implied that he was the Santa Claus Hayate met all those years ago. Unfortunately, it seems that part of the story won’t be delved into any deeper any time soon. For now the big thing on our minds, that we’ll find out next chapter is: Who will Hayate choose, Athena or Nagi?

Site Update

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, but a lot of things have come up for me. I’ve been busy looking for a new job as I got laid off last month, I’ve been applying for unemployment, I’ve been finishing off the last few classes I need to graduate, I’ve been doing some inking for an inking class I’m taking, and I’m coming up with story ideas for M.I.C.C competition. I’m pretty busy, but I’m still working on the site. It’s just I got a lot of little posts partway done. I’m busy on going over Bakemonogatari 13, I’m looking at Seitokai no Ichizon, some updates from some Comptiq and Dengeki Gs magazines, I’ll post up stuff whenever I can; though from now to mid December, it’s gonna be inconsistent. On a seperate note, I’d like to say “Hayate no Gotoku manga: Wow, lots of stuff going on there. It kinda feels like we’re switching from a heartfelt romance to an epic fantasy story. I mean it’s throwing us for a loop here.

4th Annual Seiyu Award Voting for English Speakers!!!

For those of you who haven’t heard, For the 4th Annual Seiyu Awards; there’s a category for Foreign Votes. In other words, based on us non-Japan residents’ votes one seiyu will win the foreign votes award!!!! You can vote here and it’ll ask for your e-mail, the name of the seiyu you want to vote for (you get one vote for male, and one vote for female), and a comment if you have one. This is hard for me since there’s a lot of seiyus I’d love to vote for; maybe I could just put in one vote for all of them, but I don’t think that’s allowed. I got a lot to think about on this one, but who will you vote for?

Hayate no Gotoku ch. 244- AthenaXHayate

Athena still loves Hayate!!

Ok, so Hayate isn’t the only one lamenting on the past. Athena still wishes they were together too! For some reason I thought Athena would turn out to be a yandere or something, simply because we have way too many tsuderes in this sereies, and I have a tendency towards “balancing” and for some reason a yandere balances out having lots of tsunderes for some reason. After hearing Athena say (or at least think) that she wants Hayate to tell her that he loves her, I’m sure there’s quite a bit of us out there who also want to see that since it’s become evident that Hayate shares her sentiment.

Once again, it all leads to another cliffhanger; so we have to wait till next week for the continuation. My only complaint is that Hayate has one thing to say to Athena, and he chooses to confirm that Athena remembers him? Sure it’s an important issue, but there are other important issues, such as apologizing to her since he regrets what happened when they were kids; or for the sake of those AthenaXHayate supporters, he can confess to her again since that was the reason he indirectly shot down Hina. After getting Hina down like that, he’d better confess to Athena!

Hayate Ch. 242: So In Compensation for Hina’s Sadness we get Hina Fanservice? Not a Bad Deal!

Ok, so Hina’s still feeling depressed about the whole Hayate situation, and it’s been hurting us Hina fans to see her like this. So what does Kenjiruo Hata have to cheer us up on this? Quite a bit of Hina fanservice!

and to cheer up depressed Hina is Miki who gropes her! Good job Miki!

So the Hina fanservice works a little; it’ll at least get you mind off her worries for a chapter, and props to Miki for cheering up Hina and also giving fanservice! That’s having your cake and eating it too! The rest of the chapter picks up with Hayate most likely being able to meet Athena next chapter.

Hayate no Gotoku ch. 240: Hina’s a Classy Girl

Last week’s chapter left Hina in the dust at Hayate’s huge statement. This week Hina is recovering from Hayate’s news, and in her fashion gives Hayate advice before addressing her own issue.

Hayate no Gotoku ch. 239: Hayate has Poor Timing

Hayate’s an idiot. This chapter he finally realizes that Athena is the person he likes, but unfortunately for Hina; he comes to this conclusion while she is in the middle of confessing to him herself. I feel sorry for Hina, Hayate tells her that Athena is the person he likes while she’s in the middle of confessing her feelings and as to be expected, no confession from Hina this week. AAAAAAARRGH!!!!

Kira Kira Review: Rock, Love, and Life!!!

I just finished the Visual Novel Kira Kira yesterday. I got the game free with my purchase of Shuffle from mangagamer’s site. I first got interested in the game when I saw it at AX 2009 at Mangagamer’s booth. I met the artist of the game and got a sketch of the main character (cost about $20); had I known I’d like the game so much I probably would’ve gotten a sketch of the rest of the cast. So let’s get to the review shall we?
