It’s recently come to my attention that the amount of Plant Girls is slowly rising. By Plant Girl I refer to a Girl that has plant origins. Plant Girls can be defined by having origin from plants, the first that I recognized a Plant Girl was from some RPG which had a dryad spirit that looked like a girl and that’s the the last time for a while that I saw one. Recently though I have noticed a steady increase in this species of moe girl, particularly in Shonen Jump titles. The first case in which I observed was in MX0 ( a great and hilarious manga series by the way), in this case it was Mandrake girls:

Sure Lucy doesn’t look like a plant normally, but she certainly has plant origins

In addition to Lucy, recently To-Love-Ru has introduced an existing support character that turned into a girl. Behold, the Plant Girl Celine!!!!!

Cute isn’t she? Now I pose this question to you good people out there. Do you believe this is an increasing trend? Will we only see exponential increses in Plant Girls from here on out? Basically I am asking you all, “Are Plant Girls moe?!?!?
Before you answer please view Lucy again in one of her patented expressions…………
