Summary:

Hayate and his party are in the dungeon located below Alex San Marco Church. Yukiji immediately leaves the party and falls for a trap while looking for treasure; meanwhile outside the church Hinagiku is looking for the dungeon and runs into Isumi. Back in the dungeon Nagi springs a trap, but fortunately Hayate pushes her out of the way, but gets hit by a poisoned arrow. Nagi goes off to look for a Celceta Flower, which can cure incurable diseases, and Wataru chases her. The church’s priest, Father Rin Regioster shows up and informs everyone that the poison isn’t very strong, but Hayate’s HP will decrease for every step he takes; he also tells them that the Celceta Flower is at the deepest part of the dungeon. The father continues saying that he doesn’t want to see a boy die from the poison he set up; and with that Nagi beats him up and leaves to go get the flower with Wataru chasing after.

The father tells Hayate to stay still and informs him that he was also afflicted with the same poison; unfortunately without anyone to help him he died, and is now a ghost and points to his corpse. The priest informs Hayate that ever since he died evil spirits have started to gather in the dungeon. This causes Hayate to worry that ghosts will attack Nagi, but the priest assures him that the only ghosts are the ones near them; though there is a guard robot he bought from Mikado Hyper Energy that they should worry about. At that moment, Wataru and Nagi are running away from the guard robot. At that moment simultaneously, Nagi falls and is about to get hit by the guard robot, and Hayate is about to be assaulted by evil spirits. Fortunately Hinagiku and Isumi save the two of them respectively.

Flashing back when Hinagiku ran into Isumi; Isumi lends Hina the best bokken Masamune made by Masamune as it will be dangerous inside the dungeon; back with Hayate, he is able to move a little thanks to Isumi’s Hand Soap Power and Isumi asks Hayate to keep it a secret from Nagi. The priest advises Hayate not to let his guard down, as there are still evil spirits in the dungeon; Isumi tells Hayate to take the priest and go after Nagi and leave the evil spirits to her. Isumi comments that Hayate is Nagi’s Hero so he should go to where she is. As Hayate and the priest leave, Isumi comments to herself that when she first met Hayate she thought he might be her hero, but it seems that she wasn’t the heroine.

Back with Nagi’s group, they seemed to have found the flower; unfortunately, it’s wilted with a sign saying it was useless if wilted. Nagi decides to give up on the Butler quest, knowing doing so will not allow Hayate to be her butler again; but Nagi feels at this point she just wants Hayate to be ok and is fine with that. Hayate replies that he’s not fine with that and walks up to her; when Nagi asks him about the poison, he responds saying he happened to find some medicine. When Hayate sees Hina, he asks if she came because she was worried about him, but Hina flat-out and violently denies this. Sister Fortesia comes from behind and says that it’s good that everyone is safe, and informs everyone that the medal is just at the top of the temple and says it would be good for the master and butler to go together to pick it up. Nagi and Hayate do so, but stop when the priest asks who Sister Fortesia is. The priest claims that she can’t be Sister Fortesia since the real Sister Fortesia is 60 years old. At this point “Sister Fortesia” summons all the guard robots. It seems her goal is revenge against the Sanzenin; with that the final robot appears. As the robot is about to attack, it turns off; Hina apparently unplugged the robot. This leaves Hayate to wonder that if the Sanzenin are prone to being targeted by idiotic people. This upsets Nagi and she asks the reason for being targeted for revenge. It seems that “Sister Fortesia’s” real name is Sonia, and her father was in the mafia, but her father had no talent to be in the mob. One day her father got an assassination request for Nagi, but was easily foiled by a young boy assumed to be a butler, but that’s not where the real story is. Her father went to Japan to train as a cook since he couldn’t cut it in the mob, and died of fugu poisoning. Sonia claims that if her father hadn’t lost and tried to live honestly then he’d still be alive, and attempts to attack Hayate. Hina intercepts her before she does and the two duel. Eventually the fight is stopped by Yukiji, but it turns out that it’s an evil spirit that’s possessing Yukiji’s body after she forfeited it for a million yen. The spirit takes control of the giant robot and starts rampaging. Wataru saves Sonia as she’s about to get hit by rubble and advises her to give up on revenge as she’s not suited to do bad things. He asks Sonia to forgive Nagi, as she’s his fiancé, and even offers to lend her some videos that’re more interesting than revenge in exchange.

The giant robot grabs Nagi, and Hayate feels something swell up inside himself. At this moment Hayate creates his special move Hayate no Gotoku and finishes it and the whole church with it. Back at the mansion Klaus allows Hayate to come back working; Nagi tries to say that Hayate was cool when he rescued her, but is interrupted when Hayate collapses after his body is tired from various things that happened today (i.e. Using his special move, and still being poisoned).

Opinions:

Well that ended the arc fairly well; though they didn’t have that whole link with why Hayate wanted a special move like the manga did. I did like Hina’s tsun moments, and seeing Sonia turning into a shotacon. You know, if Wataru ever gets Isumi to look his way he’d be on his way to having his own little harem; what with him having Saki, and now Sonia (Yes, you need at least 3 people for it to be considered a harem). Well good luck to Wataru on that and I’m off to blog the next ep since I was super late with this one.
