Summary:

Mashiro is in her room in the Flawless dormitory reflecting on what’s happened; she’s had to move away from Yuuri because she’s a Flawless student now. As Mashiro is thinking about this Kisaragi comes in; Kisaragi came to talk about what Mashiro mentioned in class about Tayutai and asks why she lies about such things as that and about claiming to be from the relics at the construction site. Mashiro claims it was because everyone wanted to know about her, but Kisaragi states that Flawless is a school for ladies so Mashiro has to atone for her bad jokes. Mashiro says it wasn’t a joke; she simply wanted to fit in with everyone. At school the next day Yuuri is wondering about how Mashiro is doing in Flawless, when Ameri shows up with news about Mashiro. Ameri informs Yuuri that Mashiro is being confined by Flawless; Ameri heard a rumor that a girl who showed her tail and claimed to be a god was being held in solitary confinement. Yuuri questions why they would do that; Ameri informs Yuuri that Flawless is a school for ladies, thus they are concerned on appearances so they can’t have a girl openly talk about such ridiculous things. Yuuri tries to get into Flawless to check on Mashiro, but is stopped at the gate on account that only Flawless members can get in; even Ameri who is the director’s daughter can’t get in. Later that night, Yuuri is visited by Kisaragi; who came to gather information on Mashiro. Kisaragi asks what kind of person Mashiro is, and Yuuri replies that regardless of what he says Kisaragi won’t believe him; Kisaragi questions if he’s referring to folk tales Mashiro was speaking of. Yuuri asks if Mashiro is safe, to which Kisaragi replies that she’s being confined in her room; so of course she’s safe. Yuuri answers Kisaragi’s questions and says that Mashiro that although there are some strange things about Mashiro, she’s a good girl; Kisaragi agrees with him, but comments that Mashiro refuses to admit that what she’s saying are lies. Kisaragi says that the counselor believes Mashiro may have a mental illness that prevents her from being able to separate fantasy from reality. Yuuri angrily replies that it’s her that’s not making any sense; Kisaragi tries to calm Yuuri down and informs him that she’s here to talk with him in order to clarify Mashiro’s story, and Yuuri agrees. The two sit down with some tea and Yuuri explains everything; afterwards, Kisaragi still finds it hard to believe; she gets up to apologize for wasting Yuuri’s time and leaves. When Kisaragi leaves, Yuuri’s dad comments that she seems tough to handle; Yuuri comments that this isn’t a joking matter, and his dad replies that it depends on what Yuuri plans to do next.

Back at Flawless Yumina is at Mashiro’s room and informs her that the school counselor wants to see her; as Yumina is walking Mashiro to the councilor’s office Mashiro asks Yumina if Yuuri knows she’s being confined, and Yumina confirms that he knows as she heard Kisaragi paid him a visit. Back in his room Yuuri wonders if Mashiro knew what would happen and remembers that she was all alone; which makes him realize that’s probably the reason she’s so clingy. Yuuri starts moping thinking that Mashiro needed him so much; yet right now she’s all alone. At school the next day Yuuri and Ameri are at the track field and Ameri is asking Yuuri if he’s still thinking about Mashiro, and advises him to forget about it; she cheerfully says that in the first place it’s impossible for Tayutai and humans to get along and reminds him that if Mashiro returned he’d have to fight those 3 strongest Tayutai. Ameri continues saying that Tayutai have no place in the modern world and from a normal standpoint they can be considered disgusting, and says that it’s Mashiro’s problem and the two of them should get back to their own lives. Yuuri tells Ameri that he’s sorry, because he can’t leave Mashiro alone and says he’ll save Mashiro tonight.

That night outside the gates Yuuri and Sankurou are setting up a ladder, Sankurou comments that Ameri didn’t come after all. Yuuri replies that it can’t be helped as she was opposed to the idea and said she wouldn’t help. As Sankurou is reminding Yuuri that if he want to call the whole thing off now’s the time; Ameri shows up with the card key for the building, because the ladder is too short to reach over the wall. As Yuuri is given the card key and gets into the dorm, Sankurou comments that he’s surprised Ameri came and wonders if she was blinded by love; which earns him a blow to the gut. Once Yuuri has entered the dorm, he meets Yumina at the reception desk; she then guides Yuuri to Mashiro’s room. Upon making it to Mashiro’s room Yuuri asks Mashiro to use her powers to get out, but Mashiro asks Yuuri to do back. Mashiro now believes that it’s better to be alone as she’s a monster, and she wouldn’t want a monster like her to trouble Yuuri. Mashiro informs Yuuri on how she told everyone at Flawless about Tayutai and showed a little of her powers, but no one believed her. Mashiro says that she was content with that she had the chance to talk with Yuuri in the end, but Yuuri tells her not to think about such negative things and tells her that he always saw her as human; even continuing saying he’d be her ally even if the world were her enemy. Yuuri apologizes to Mashiro and says he should have been more considerate of her. This gets to Mashiro and she uses her powers to pass through the door and hugs Yuuri. As they embrace, the Flawless security system activates and the alarms sound and Yumina advises them to escape saying she’ll stay behind to buy time.

Out near the train station, Ameri comments that Yuuri probably set off the alarms system since they can hear it. Mashiro and Yuuri make it to the train station and Ameri tries using the card key to activate the train; unfortunately it doesn’t work. Eventually they all get surrounded by Flawless members and are confronted by Kisaragi; Kisaragi asks for Mashiro to come over to her as she feels Mashiro is being tricked by Yuuri, but Mashiro retorts that there wasn’t anyone in Flawless who believed her. Kisaragi asks Mashiro if she’ll come back to Flawless if she believes her; Kisaragi tells Mashiro that she’ll believe and help her, though it clearly sounds like she’s patronizing her. Mashiro says that Kisaragi doesn’t trust her at all; Yuuri tries to get Mashiro to stop, but Mashiro tells him to forgive her because it was reckless for her to reveal the existence of Tayutai recklessly. Mashiro mischievously says she’s going to scare them a little, and uses her powers to summon Tayutai to their location. Mashiro tells them that Tayutai are spiritual entities that have no physical body and are created by the spiritual energy of living things; Kisaragi still feels that these are nothing but folk tales, but the Tayutai start gathering forth. Mashiro continues saying 1500 species of Tayutai were released the other day; one was like a dragon who lived in the water, another was like the phoenix living in the sky, another was like a mollusk, and the last are the legged beasts that live above ground who follow Kikurami and Mashiro introduces them as her clan. Yumina gets scared and runs to Yuuri and Yuuri tells her it’s ok; Kisaragi still in disbelief slowly accepts the situation. The next day Kisaragi informs Yuuri that everyone except her and Yumina have amnesia regarding yesterday’s incident, and informs Yuuri that she’s working to have Mashiro able to commute to school from home since it’s the best choice to achieve the goal of human-tayutai co-existence. Back at home Mashiro is showing Yuuri her new cell phone; it’s a model made for people not too adapt at using the multiple functions modern cell phones have (so it’s like a Jitterbug phone). She informs Yuuri that she got a call from his father earlier informing her he isn’t coming back tonight; leaving Mashiro and Yuuri alone. Mashiro then asks Yuuri how long she would have to wait before Yuuri would sleep with her. Yuuri panics and tells her that he’s happy that she feels that way, but…………though as soon as Yuuri says “but” Mashiro gets depressed and comments on how Yuuri might see her as a monster. Yuuri stops her and tells her he also likes her and wants to develop their relationship first, and asks her to wait until he has enough confidence to call himself her husband.

Opinions:

So they sent Mashiro to get mental help? Really!? You have someone who has ears and a tail and powers that they show you, and everyone including yourself can see this; so you send the person to see help? Shouldn’t they be the ones to get help since they’re having problems accepting it as reality? Jeez, talk about your denials or reality. I suppose the whole idea of “sane” and “insane’ is relative in the first place as the idea of normality depends on the individual and the majority deem what perception of reality is considered acceptable and “normal, but I digress into philosophical issues. Getting Mashiro, I gotta say that I was a little turned on when she got all spunky and said she’d scare everyone at Flawless while smiling. It was kinda sexy, am I wrong? Does this make me a masochist!?! I hope not, it’s just this one instance of sadistic behavior I found to be a turn on; maybe it’s horrible things being said in a cute voice and fashion? Yeah! That’s gotta be it! Ok, ok, getting back on track; I gotta say that Ameri was a lot less tolerable this episode, saying co-existence with Tayutai is impossible and that it be better off without them seems to be really………I’m just gonna say it, it made her look like a bitch. Obviously she’s saying it because she likes Yuuri and doesn’t want Mashiro to monopolize him; so I suppose I can let it slide. In any case, next episode has Nue in it; so for you lolicons out there rejoice. Nue’s true form is a loli, and she loves panties!

Heh well if something clashes too much with society’s expected reality of course that person is going to be rejected. It reminded me of this one VN’s bad end where this guy gets institutionalized since he claims to have lived with a loli tentacle monster but he’s telling the truth.
