Summary:

Airi rushes home after parting ways with Shingo and is surprised at how familiar she’s become with Shingo. At home, Airi admits to herself that she’s not good at dealing with change; which is why she had trouble with accepting boys into Yuijo. She remember thinking of Shingo as her new friend’s brother, but felt that Shingo was different from other boys since the moment they met and comments that she can’t stay calm around him. Airi gets all excited about calling Shingo Uryuu familiarly with him also calling her Sena in a familiar fashion, and can’t wait for school to start on Monday so she can see Shingo.

The next day at school Shingo notices Pan-nya clawing at a door. Shingo goes over to him and overhears a conversation between the school principal and Miu over the possible disbandment of her club. Apparently some residents in the neighborhood have made complaints regarding her club and since Miu’s club isn’t officially recognized, there isn’t anything the school can do but disband her club. Miu leaves the principal’s office depressed and Shingo also feels down because he sympathizes with Miu. Shingo meets Airi on his way to class, and asks her if she showered this morning since he can smell her shampoo. Airi gets embarrassed, but confirms that Shingo is different from other boys. Ange watches the two of them and seems to recognize that Airi is starting to develop feeling for Shingo. At lunch Sakuno, Miu, Sana, and Ange recognize that Shingo and Airi seem a lot closer. Hayata arrives after finishing some student council work and Airi confirms that her feelings for Shingo are different than what she feels with other boys, using Hayata as a reference.

After Hayata and Shingo leave to go to the bathroom, Miu talks about how considerate Shingo and Ange agrees stating that he’s even too considerate. Ange claims that recently it feels like her workload has decreased a lot and feels that Shingo is her rival. Sana wonders if Ange is suggesting a Maid competition, and Miu suggests that Shingo should wear a maid outfit if that’s the case. Sana comments that there’s no way a maid outfit would look good on Shingo and that it suit her better, but everyone looks skeptical. Sana gets frustrated and asks Ange to borrow her maid outfit, but Ange tells her that if Sana were to wear her clothes then the difference in their bust size would be revealed. This pisses off Sana and she rampages on Ange. While running away from Sana, Ange runs into Shingo and gets her headdress knocked off and starts bawling like a child and begs Shingo to return it.

Later after school, Shingo and Ange talk in her room. Ange talks about how she wanted to be a maid because of her mother. Ange’s mother is a maid that’s currently working for an Earl in England. Ange has received training to be a maid since she was young, but has yet to decide on a master to serve yet. The reason why Ange was so helpless without her headdress is because a headdress is the identity of a maid. Shingo apologizes to Ange and Ange tells him it’s ok and comments at how considerate he is. Ange likens Shingo to a big umbrella that guards from the rays of the sun or becomes shelter from rain, and he always protects others. Ange thanks Shingo for talking to her and tells him that she won’t lose to Shingo because she’s the only maid in Yuijo.

The next morning, Ange is spirited and greets everyone at the gate and continues the rest of the day with asking everyone if they need help with anything, but there’s no work that needs to be done. Eventually Ange decides to create work by spilling some water so she can mop it up, but she accidentally spills the water on herself. Shingo, Airi, and Sana run into her and see Ange with her stockings all wet and come to the conclusion that Ange wet herself. Ange tries to correct them and explains what she was trying to wet the floors so she’d have an excuse to mop it.  Shingo tells her that she isn’t acting like a maid today. Ange really takes the comment to heart and quickly leaves. That evening, Shingo’s words still ring in Ange’s heart and she wonders why Shingo’s words hurt her so much and wonders if it’s because he’s her rival. Airi shows up to try to cheer up Ange, but Ange tells her to leave her alone. Airi comments that Shingo made the right choice and how his thoughtfulness is really on a different level. Ange thinks about how Airi is here because she’s concerned about her, but Shingo has yet to say anything to her. As Ange starts thinking more about Shingo she realizes that Shingo was her rival, but a person that she wants to support and runs to Shingo and asks him to be her “danna-sama”.

Opinions:

Well that was interesting what happened at the end there. Ange asked Shingo to be her “danna-sama” which has a double meaning since danna-sama can mean master or husband depending on the context though in this case I’m sure that Ange means for Shingo to be master. Well that’s what I’d expect from a scenario of a galge. From a galge perspective this would be the turning point that determines if we end on the Ange route or go on to someone else’s route. Sadly seeing how we haven’t fully gotten into Miu’s route I’m sure we’ll be passing on Ange’s ending this time around. Well with all the maid focut this episode I almost forgot about the long overdue “dere” side that Airi is showing us now! I’m excited to see Airi’s reaction to Ange’s proposal to Shingo. Will she get jealous? Start getting aggressive in her pursuit of Shingo? I’m excited to see what we’ll see next episode! Based on the preview it looks like we’ll get lots of fan service next episode!
