One-day Sana finds 2 abandoned kittens, one with black fur and one with white fur, and brings them to the Nuko club. Ange wonders if they’ll take the kittens into the club, but Sana tells her that the duty of the club is to treat lost, hurt or starving animals and release them back to the wild so it’s impossible for them to provide a permanent home for the kittens. Since no one in the club is able to take the kittens Sana is about to volunteer to take the kittens, but Miu tells her not to and suggest they all go find the kittens a home while the kittens can stay in the clubroom until they can find a home for them. Unfortunately no one else in the school is able to take in the kittens either. Later Shingo visits the clubroom and sees Miu watching Pannya breastfeed the kittens. Shingo notices that Miu’s hand looks a little wounded, and Sana comes in when she thinks Shingo is having perverted thoughts about Miu. Shingo and Sana end up at the swings that evening and Shingo asks Sana about Miu’s hand and Sana tells Shingo about how she met Miu for the first time. Miu was extending her hand out to Pan-nya and Pan-nya bit her hand. This was the first-time Pan-nya had been taken in and wasn’t used to humans yet, but quickly understood that Miu wanted to help her and stopped biting her and licked her hand. Sana asked her if her hand is alright and Miu tells her that as long as Pan-nya is calm then she’s fine. After telling her story, Sana asks Shingo what he thinks about Miu, and Shingo tells her that Miu is someone he respects and she’s someone that makes you feel relaxed when you’re with her. Sana then asks him what he thinks of her, and Shingo tells her that if he were a girl then Sana would be a great friend. Sana tells him that if that’s the case, he needs to show her that he can be her first male friend.

Shingo walks to school early the next morning and finds Ange trying to wake up Miu in the clubroom. It seems that Miu was in the clubroom overnight after her part-time job. Ange and Miu fuss over Miu as she could have caught a cold and Shingo puts his coat over Miu and tells her not to push herself and tells her to share some of her burdens with him. Sana continues searching the school for someone to take in the kittens, but no one is able to. Sana meets up with Miu on a bench and Sana takes the opportunity to ask Miu how she feels about Shingo. Miu tells her that Shingo is someone that makes feel relaxed when you’re near them, and Sana is reminded of Shingo’s exact answer to her question. Miu then asks Sana the same question and Sana responds that to her Shingo is someone she wants to be happy.

Sana returns to the clubroom where everyone is calling out names to see if the kittens respond to anything. The black kittens seems to respond to the name “Shingo” and the white one seems to respond to “Miu” so those become the names of the kittens. Yatsuzuko-sensei comes in and asks everyone to come with her to see the school principal. The principal wanted to talk to the club members about the abandoned kittens and to confirm that more abandoned animals won’t be taken in since it’ll be a problem for the school. After seeing that everyone in the club has thought things out and prepared, she decides to let them do as they please for now. After the meeting, Shingo notices that Miu is still coughing a little and Shingo asks her to return home since she doesn’t have work today and leave the kittens to everyone else in the club.

Sana is alone in the clubroom with the kittens and she desperately tries calling out to the white name using the name “Sana”, but the kitten doesn’t respond to it at all and she asks what’s wrong with that name. Shingo comes in and Sana embarrassingly asks if he heard anything. Shingo tells her he hasn’t heard anything and informs Sana that Miu will be at home today, but Sana tells him that Miu has her part-time job today. Shingo is about to go out to stop her, but Sana stops him and is about to tell him that he won’t be able to but remembers that Miu treats him differently and lets him go.  Miu is at her part-time job and Shingo arrives to her and asks her to go home. Miu’s sickness starts to flare up and she begins to lose consciousness and Shingo catches her as she falls while calling out her name.

Opinions:

Looks like we’re pretty deep into the Miu route now, huh? We’ve got the two kittens that have created a bond between Miu and Shingo that seems to be recognized by Sana and Airi. Sana really got more of her character carved out this episode as it’s heavily implied that she has feelings for Shingo, but it’s a shame as she just as quickly decides to give up on her feelings and pushes Shingo towards Miu. Judging from the preview I’m assuming we’ll meet Miu’s mom next episode. As far as Miu’s route is concerned, it looks like things are moving smoothly.  I am wondering how this all plays out in Airi’s route as I think they’re adding onto her route. I know that Airi having an issue with boys was a big part of her route, but I don’t think jealousy was anywhere on there was it? It does seem like the whole series is heading towards Airi breaking down and confessing to Shingo after becoming more and more jealous after Shingo has become closer to so many other girls. Or maybe Airi’s story is just over????
