Summary:

After a year has passed and all the seniors have graduated, Rihoko is now the president of the Tea Club and Junichi is her vice president. Despite being together all the time, Rihoko and Junichi’s relationship has not progressed at all. One day while walking home from shopping Rihoko runs into her sempai that have already graduated and they give her some eel so she can cook something for Junichi in the hopes that it will bring the 2 together. Afterwards Rihoko gets hit on by a classmate of hers, but she tells him taht she already has someone she likes. Rihoko arrives at Junichi’s house and proceeds to cook for him. It starts to rain, so Junichi invites Rihoko to stay over. So Rihoko spends the night at Junichi’s, but she isn’t able to sleep in the middle of the night so she walks into the living room, and notices that Junichi is also up. The 2 decide to play with fireworks like they did when they were younger, and start reminiscing about when they were younger. Junichi comments that it’d be nice if they could stay this way forever, and the two finally confess to each other.

Opinions:

Rihoko’s arc has always been a little strange to me, because well in a word: it’s slow. I guess it makes sense since there are relationships that slowly build over time, and this is especially true of childhood friends but Rihoko’s relationship with Junichi is so slow compared to the other heroines. I mean, with Tsukasa and Haruka we see that Junichi married them! We’re not even sure how far Rihoko and Junichi will make it. But I suppose if my only complaint is that I want to see more it’s not really much of a complaint. On that note, I am super psyched about Ai’s “after story” arc next episode!

one of the best arcs from “plus+” !! First: because they wrapped up the loose end from first season and second: because their “romance” was more believable 🙂
