Summary:

It’s been about a year since Junichi and Sae have started going out and Sae has slowly been getting better at interacting with other people. Junichi is surprised to hear from Miya that Sae is fairly popular due to her appearance in the best couple contest last year. Sae’s class has even chosen her to represent them in the Founder’s Festival committee. Sae is getting a lot of attention, and Junichi is starting to feel lonely since he’s feeling like he’s being distanced from Sae. A few days later Miya rushes into Junichi’s room and informs him that Sae is attending an omiai. After hearing this, Junichi and Miya rush to where Sae is having the omiai. After seeing Sae, she explains that she’s there for her dog’s omiai and it seems Miya misunderstood. The next day, Miya informs Junichi that Sae has been chosen to be the Founder’s Festival committee president and Junichi seems to get excited over the idea since he feels it’ll be a good opportunity to help her out.

After being chosen to be the president of the Founder’s Festival, Sae has been becoming increasingly busy. This depresses Junichi since he can’t be with her as frequently. Junichi has the idea to do a documentary on the Founder’s Festival president so he has an excuse to hang around Sae. Sae agrees to the filming, and throughout it Junichi sees how hard Sae is working. Finally it’s the day of the festival and everything is wrapping up nicely. When Sae and Junichi are alone, Sae gives him his Christmas present. Junichi is taken aback since he hasn’t prepared anything for her and asks Sae if there’s anything she wants. Sae asks Junichi to kiss her since they haven’t done so in a  long while. 8 years later Juinichi and Sae are married and at a sentai hero show with their daugher with another child along the way.

Opinions:

Sae’s story arc is around what I was expecting of the Amagami SS+Plus series. I was hoping to get some closure on the relationships with the heroines. I never really got that from t he other heroines with the exception of Haruka, Tsukasa, and now Sae; though in Haruka and Tsukasa’s case we get that closure first season with a glimpse at Junichi and the repecctive heroine’s future (them being married, and in some cases also having kids together). The other story arcs just feel like continuing where we left off first season; which isn’t bad but I’m just a sucker for those endings where you’re married to the heroine. It just kind of feels like “Part 1 over, now onto Part 2!”. Next story is focused on Haruka, and I love Haruka! Since we saw her and Junichi married in their ending last season, I’m fine with whatever the staff does with her story arc as long as it’s playful and Haruka-esque!
