Summary:

Satellizer is in the shower remembering what Kazuya said about seeing his sister in her, when the alarms ring alerting all Pandoras to prepare to sortie. The Novas have appeared in West Genetics. West Genetics starts closing off paths to the academy, and the Novas are approaching. The movements of the Novas suggest that they’re looking for something, and past data has observed that the maximum amount of time that they spend in this dimension is 5 hours and 37 minutes; after which dimensional compression causes them to explode. From how things played out, it seems that the attack on East Genetics was a ploy in order to have most of the forces concentrated there so that there is weaker defense at West Genetics. All the Pandoras are being ordered to equip their volt texture, and all Limiters are being ordered to equip combat uniforms.

Since most of the forces from West Genetics are still at East Genetics, there is a low chance that they can be relied on for backup. The 3rd and 4th Year students are being organized into platoons by Yumi as she gives out orders. Kazuya meets up with Satella, but she seems distant. Kazuya tries asking what’s wrong, but she doesn’t respond. Rana takes the opportunity to try to pair with Kazuya and provokes Satella by insisting it’s her loss. The two are about to fight, but Kazuya stops them and tells them that this isn’t the time for this and states that the two of them didn’t become Pandoras for this.

The Pandoras start moving out to surround the Novas, but as they approach it, the Nova releases all the Pandoras it has absorbed. All the released Pandoras have a blank look on their face, a new Stigma on their chest, and huge Stigmas jutting out from their backs. The released Pandoras start using Accel and head for the academy. Some of the Pandoras go off to intercept them, leaving Elise to take on the Nova. Meanwhile Yumi is finishing off a Nova with her spear Volt Weapon.

At the east gate, Miyabi and other Pandoras are on guard to defend it. The brainwashed Pandoras show up and jump over Miyabi and head towards the academy. Sister Margarett recognizes where the Novas are heading and orders all Pandoras guarding a gate to head to the east gate and informs the Pandoras that the enemies are brainwashed Pandoras identified by the large Stigmas jutting from their backs and are to be considered hostile and eliminated on site. Upon hearing this news Rana and Satella head out, but Kazuya informs them that they’re suppose to be on standby though they don’t listen.

Back with Miyabi’s team, they try to hold off the brainwashed Pandors, but are easily overpowered. Kazuya goes after Satella and she finally tells him that she’s not a replacement for his sister, and Rana wonders if something happened between the two. Satella finally tells Kazuya that she heard his conversation with Arthur and Kaho regarding how she resembled his sister, but Kazuya tells her it’s a misunderstanding. Unfortunately before he can go into it in detail, Gannessa, Satella Rana, and their accompanying Limiters are ordered to report to the Ravensborne Nucleotide immediately. They arrive there with Sister Margarett, but so have the brainwashed Pandoras. Margarett heads inside the Ravensborne Nucleotide where it is revealed that it is the location of the Holy Body. The Holy Body is the person who gave birth to Pandoras, Maria Lancelot. The Stigmas in her body are used to create mass produced Stigmas; which in turn are used to create Pandoras. Sister Margarett comments that the use of Stigmas is a double-edged sword as it allows them to fight Novas, but since it is the same as Nova tissue Pandoras are susceptible to being overtaken by the Stigma turning their bodies into Nova Form which is what happened to the Pandoras that were absorbed by the Novas in East Genetics. Speaking of which, the brainwashed Pandoras slowly make their way to Ravensborne Nucleotide.

Opinions:

This episode is loosely based on chapter 29. The important parts are there, it’s just lacking the character depth parts like Cassie’s Limiter and things like that. I’m guessing they’re doing that to keep the focus on Kazuya and Satella and the fact that the series (or at least the 1st season) is almost over. The episode’s pretty good, and I have high expectations for action in the next episode; though that’s assuming there’s enough action. The omake pic this week is nice cute Kazuya being attacked by chibi Satella. One could say it represents what their relationship should be like. There’s only a few episodes left this season, and while I don’t think it’ll end in a way I could find satisfactory; I’ll reserve judgment until I see it.
