Summary:
Nue is assaulting Flawless one night and Kisaragi tries to attack Nue as Nue leaves, but is thoroughly beaten. The next day at Yuuri’s house, Mashiro is trying to pick out some underwear to use; since Ameri notes that Mashiro does wear any, she’s letting her use one of her’s. Ameri gets frustrated at Mashiro since she’s playing with the underwear; meanwhile Yuuri is talking with Yumina on the phone. Yuuri comments to Yumina that everything is fine; though Ameri is being a little annoying. Yumina comments it’s because she worries about him, but Yuuri believes that’s impossible; to which Yumina comments that she feels sorry for Ameri. After finishing up the call, Yuuri goes to check on Ameri and Mashiro; only to walk-in on them as they’re still going through underwear and gets kicked out (literally). Yuuri proceeds to wait outside of the room, but gets flustered as he hears them talk about underwear and turns red. Eventually a knock comes from the door, and Yuuri finds Kisaragi there; Kisaragi takes Mashiro back to Flawless to the grounds where they fought with Nue. Yumina recounts how Nue just stole underwear; though she returned it, Nue said she would be back. Mashiro confirms that the Tayutai was most likely Nue and Kisaragi asks what they should do, but Mashiro replies that it’ll be Yuuri and her that will handle Nue. Kisaragi doesn’t approve of it since the presence of males on Flawless grounds is prohibited, and continues stating that Flawless has always dealt with intruders using its own strength and isn’t about to rely on someone else now. Mashiro understands her feelings, but tells her that they need Yuuri’s spiritual power to defeat Nue; Kisaragi questions if only Yuuri is needed, and if everyone else is useless.
Yuuri is in the garage working on his bike while Ameri is licking a lollipop; Kisaragi comes in as she recalls the conversation she had with Mashiro regarding how Yuuri was needed as he has thousands of years of lineage to back him up, but Kisaragi doesn’t want to believe in the existence of an inferior or superior lineage and tells Yuuri such a thing shouldn’t exist. Kisaragi asks Yuuri what he is doing and is surprised on how knowledgeable Yuuri is about bikes as he explains the details of what he’s doing; which is basically working on the engine. Kisaragi asks if he’s in a bike gang; Yuuri goes silent, and after a while asks her to leave. Kisaragi accuses him of being rude, but Ameri tells her that she’s the one who’s wrong; Yuuri simply likes bikes, so it’s wrong to assume he’s in a bike gang just because he rides a bike. While Kisaragi is taking the train back to Flawless she remembers how she met Yuuri and comments to herself that she misunderstood him and judged with without any basis and looks down in self-disgust. That night a black mist spreads through Flawless; dropping bits of itself, that turn into spiders. The spiders make web all around Flawless’s grounds; Yumina notices one of the webs curiously as she’s walking through the halls, and Nue looks on from a distance. The next day Mashiro and Yuuri are continuing their training, and Yuuri is at a level where he can use his spiritual power to form a barrier to protect him from projectiles. Kisaragi and Yumina watch as they train and are surprised at the intensity; with Kisaragi looking on and seemingly disappointed with her.
That evening, all of Flawless’s members are gathered outside; Kisaragi thanks them for coming and asks them to take caution when engaging the enemy. Yuuri is also on Flawless grounds, though he used his spiritual power to take on a girlish form. Mashiro comments that she didn’t think Yuuri would look so good as a girl and tells Kisaragi that Yuuri’s presence on Flawless grounds shouldn’t be problem. Yuuri and Mashiro enter the dorm building to confront Nue; Nue appears before them and comments on her surprise to see them walk into her trap. Suddenly all the spiders start glowing red and Nue tells them now that being inside the building is like being inside her stomach and Nue’s body starts engulfing them. Eventually Mashiro is grabbed by Nue’s tentacles and Yuuri tries to restrain himself as he was asked by Kisaragi to hide his spiritual power until she gave him the signal. Before Nue starts to absorb Mashiro’s spiritual power, Kisaragi gives the signal and all the Flawless members begin eliminating all the spiders. This affects Nue and her tentacles disappear, thus freeing Mashiro. Kisaragi comes in and comments that even someone like her can sense Tayutai and spiritual energy to an extent, and reveals that she gathered everyone who could also sense Tayutai a little and had them hunt down the spiders; informing Nue she was aware of her trap. Nue begins to attack and releases lightning; Kisaragi activates the sprinklers and seals Nue’s lightning. Kisaragi tells Nue that she noticed Nue never emitted lightning when around water, and theorized that she couldn’t since she would shock herself. Kisaragi asks Mashiro to take of the rest, and Mashiro sends out her seals and has filled the building with her spiritual power and asks Yuuri to finish the rest. Yuuri gathers his spiritual power in his hand, while Kisaragi dodges through Nue’s tentacles and slashes Nue’s body with her bokken. Yuuri takes off his girlish disguise and punches Nue in the body, releasing his spiritual power at Nue. Nue gets knocked back and her body turns to smoke; revealing her true form. Yuuri and Kisaragi are shocked to see that Nue’s true form is that of a little girl; Kisaragi questions Nue on why she stole underwear, and is shocked to learn that Nue wanted to try them on. Nue comments that in her time there was a good variety of kimonos, but today’s young girls wear such cute clothing; Nue wanted to be like them, and that’s why she stole underwear. Kisaragi tells her that humans have laws as do Tayutai, breaking these laws results in such incidents. Nue tells her that whether it be human or Tayutai, everyone always bullies her; which is why she took on an intimidating form and eventually called one of the 3 strongest and was bullied even more. Kisaragi then proposes a deal with Nue, Kisaragi will protect Nue if she’s ever being bullied and in return she will not cause problems for others; if she can keep this promise then be it underwear or clothing, Kisaragi will offer her whatever she wants. Nue tells her that humans never keep their promises, and Kisaragi proposes a bet; Nue tells her she’ll try their agreement out for 3 days since she feels Kisaragi won’t last that long.
Back at Yuuri’s house, Nue is looking through the piles of underwear; Yumina recommends some cotton ones, but Nue says she doesn’t like such childish panties to Yumina’s shock. An argument breaks out with Yuuri and Kisaragi outside the door; Yuuri comments that Kisaragi didn’t have to hold up her end up the deal, but she replies it’s only natural since she proposed the deal in the first place and felt this was the best solution. Nue finally settles on a pink thong and Mashiro and Yumina are shocked at her bold choice. Mashiro criticizes her choice and asks her to consider her body type, but Nue comments that Mashiro is probably jealous that she doesn’t suit such panties and tells her that she’d be better off with a fundoshi; to which Ameri comments would suit Mashiro. Mashiro counters saying she’ll also wear a thong and brings out a red frilly number; saying she’ll show them to Yuuri. This gets Yuuri all red and flustered; Kisaragi asks Yuuri if it was hard to get his license for his bike and their conversation continues in the background as Nue and Mashiro continue to argue on underwear.
Opinions:
Yep, Nue’s actually a perverted loli; that oughta attract a new demographic to the series. So this episode brought Yuuri and Kisaragi a little closer together; if the CGs in the game is any indication I’d say Yuuri helps Kisaragi in getting a bike license. This episode also brought up a few things of note, one was the whole lineage thing; to which I agree and disagree with Kisaragi. Such things shouldn’t exist, but they do; though it’s not like there’s nothing you can do. Just as Kisaragi showed; though she doesn’t possess Yuuri’s level of spiritual power, she was able to be of some help. It was almost a “in your face” moment when she came out and foiled Nue’s plans. Well that said, next episode seems to focus on Ameri’s route; while I won’t go into the details I will say this: FYI in the HCG part of Ameri’s rout, she’s a lot more of a pervert than I ever would have thought or Yuuri is more perverted with her than any of the other girls. I need to learn some more kanji and overall Japanese language education to verify.
