Megaman Legends 3 – Vote for the Heroine! Polls Close Tonight!!!

Capcom’s little contest where we fans vote on the design for the heroine of Megaman Legends 3 comes to a close tonight October 25, 2010!!!! For those who haven’t voted, you have till 11:59PM PST to get your votes in!

For the record the 2 main candidates are:

Sensei Haruki Suetsugu's design

Shinsuke Komaki's design

I voted for Shinsuke Komaki’s design as I found it the cutest one. Last I checked it was Sensei Haruki Suetsugu at 26% and Shinsuke Komaki at 22% of the votes! One of these 2 candidates will become the heroine for Megaman Legends 3, as the other candidates wouldn’t win unless a landslide of votes happen in the next 10 or so hours. In either case, if you want to seal Sensei Haruki Suetsugu’s victory or help Shinsuke Komaki with a comeback victory you have till 11:59PM PST to get your votes in!!!

Rallying Support for Koihime Musō Release!!! Koihime Fans Unite!!!

If any of you have read mangagamer’s blog, then you know that sadly they’ll be releasing Koihime Musō without voices. They give valid reasons why they need to do this; with the amount of voice talent in the game, it’ll cost quite a bit to use those voices (for one Norio Wakamoto is one of the big seiyuus in the game). They are making it up to us though by dropping the price of the game. Here’s the part I need everyone’s help with: If the game sells well enough, they’ll release a patch with the voices!!!! So I’m begging any galge, eroge, and of course Koihime fans! United we can get to hear Aisha and Sei’ ero voices!!! Can I count on you people out there to support Koihime with me!?!?! Now’s the time to start saving up!!!!

To Aru Majutsu no Index II – Ep. 1

So  they started off with a short story about a magician that wanted to use of the grimoires in Index to cure someone he cared about whose afflicted with a curse. It was a decent episode to start off with as it gives a short recap of what happened previously and reintroduces Toma and his right hand, and Index with all those grimoires in her head. there was only one thing of note though this episode, and that’s dere dere Mikoto!!,/a>
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

She just showed up briefly after Toma bumped into her; with no other purpose than to just make an appearance. But even so, it was one of the highlights of the episode for me! I mean how often do you get to see Mikoto all dere dere like that?!? Ahhhhh, just remembering it makes me feel all warm inside!

In any case, next episode seems to start the arc with the Amakusa Catholics. Which means, either next episode or the one after we’ll get to see Itsuwa!!! Can’t wait for that!

That said, let’s review the new opening and ending songs!

Opening: “No Buts!” by Mami Kawada

I really like the song, it’s just what you expect from Mami Kawada! It’s got that “pumped” feeling to it; like Shakugan no Shana Second op “Joint”. They’re really putting in lots of images from the Amakusa arc in too, but my only complaint about that is not enough Itsuwa!! I do love the images of Oriana Thomson and Mikoto’s mom in the opening though. Makes me pretty sure a few people will add those 2 characters to the To Aru Majutsu no Index doujinshi repertoire. So I expect to see them in the next Comiket doujinshi batch. That aside, there was a lot of Toma x Index implications in the opening (At least I feel that way) with the saving grace being Mikoto running to get in between the two towards the end.

Ending: “Magic∞world” by Maon Kurosaki

The song itself isn’t bad; I’ve never hear a Mano Kurosaki song before, so this one is my first. It’s a good song, but nothing stands out to me. The images they use feel a little cliched and remind me of the 2nd ending for season 1 “the whole walking down the street thing”. Not to say I dislike it; it just doesn’t wow me.

To Aru Majutsu no Index PSP game Pre-orders Up!!

If you don’t know why I’m excited that the pre-orders for the To Aru Majutsu no Index PSP game, then you are obviously unfamiliar with the “Limited Edition” package that comes with a Misaka Mikoto figma!!!

Look at that figma! It already got me to pre-order it, and you just know it’s gonna be up on eBay for about as much the limited edition anyway! Besides, it’s a fighting game and the PSP’s regionless. So I’m not at too much of a loss for pre-ordering this game. If anyone else with a loose sense responsibility with there money is so inclined, join me and pre-order the game at Play-Asia or wherver you go to get your import game fix!

To Aru Majutsu no Index G’s Coverage

The October issue of Dengeki G’s Magazine is out, and we’re treated to a Mikoto cover! Courtesy of the fact To Aru Majutsu no Index comes back in October for a second season!!! This issue we get some peeks at the second season, and we also see some scenes from the To Aru Kagaku no Railgun OVA!

What peaked my interest was the announcement of the Shirai Kuroko figma! Unfortunately, you can only get it in the limited edition release of the To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. I was prepared to buy the To Aru Majutsu no Index game to get the Mikoto figma, but I believe the rationalization for that went along the lines of “It’s a fighting game, fighting games are universal! So it’s not really much of a waste to buy the limited edition! Plus Mikoto figma!!” My brain’s being a little more rational as it seems the Railgun game looks a lot more text-based. Plus, I really want Mikoto; don’t get it wrong, I’d like to get Kuroko too. I’m just more invested in Mikoto right now. So aside from all, I just want to say that I’m really looking forward to the second season of To Aru Majutsu no Index this week! I’ll be counting the days till Itsuwa’s television debut! Just a reminder, the To Aru Majutsu no Index game comes out January and the To Aru Kagaku no Railgun game comes out April-ish I believe. Hopefully I’ll be in  a good spot financially to buy both! On that note, I hope I learn enough Japanese (at least kanji) to appreciate the To Aru Kagaku no Railgun game. Oddly enough in terms of audio I know enough to get through your typical high school galge game-based anime. Think I watch like a lot of those; probably because of the To Heart franchise.
