Summary:

One morning in modern Japan, Kōmei is rushing to school because she’s late; which causes her to bump into Kan’u. Kan’u notices from Kōmei ’s uniform that she’s also from St. Franchesca Academy, and Kōmei informs Kan’u that she’s transferring to St. Franchesca today and explains why she’s late while “Hawawa-ing”. Kan’u fixes Kōmei ’s ribbon and they proceed to walk to school. At lunch in the cafeteria, Kōmei is struggling in the crowd to buy bread but gets pushed back and bumps into Kan’u again; Kan’u helps Kōmei to the front of the crowd and the two are able to get some bread. Two walk in the courtyard and Kōmei asks Kan’u if she plans to eat all the bread herself, but Kan’u tells her she lost at JanKen so she has to buy her friends’ share.  Rinrin comes up to Kan’u and scolds her for being late and goes on to take the bag of bread and brings it to Bachō and Chō’un. The bread is distributed but Ririn notices that her favorite, egg sandwich, is missing; Kan’u tells her they were out and tells her to make do with a ramen sandwich. Unfortunately, Ririn is not so understanding and is shocked to see that Kōmei has an egg sandwich. Ririn asks her why she has it, but Kan’u intervenes telling Ririn that it was the last one and it belongs to Kōmei. Ririn proceeds to get mad that Kan’u won’t stand up for her, as she’s her “little sister”; Kan’u comes back at her, that because she’s her “little sister” she should be more understanding and tells Rinrin that she’s being selfish. Ririn calls Kan’u an idiot and runs off. Bachō and Chō’un comment that it’s a horrible time for Ririn to be mad since it’s almost time for the Student Council President Tournament; Kōmei, being new, asks what it is. Apparently the school has a system where teams consisting of 4 people compete with each other, and the winner of the battle becomes the new Student Council President. Chō’un informs Kōmei that they plan to enter with Kan’u as the leader of the team, but without Rinrin they don’t have enough people.

In one of the science rooms, Shūyu is scolding Kannei for brining an eel sandwich when she asked for an egg sandwich; though Kannei informs that there was only one egg sandwich left and someone else beat her to it. Sonken tells her to let it go, and Sonshōkō agrees since it’s almost time for dinner. Shūyu claims that they can’t be lax with the Student Council President Tournament so close since they’re in a tight situation because Sonsaku has been a Hikikomori since her 1st and 2nd year. Sonken gets upset at Shūyu for talking about her sister like that and tells Shūyu that she has her own way for handling things. On the roof, Shūyu comments to herself that Sonken is being naive and will have to test Sonken to see if she’s worthy or not. Back with Kan’u’s group, they invite Kōmei to be their 4th member and ask her to lend them her help. When Kōmei asks about getting Rinrin back, Kan’u says she doesn’t care about that troublemaker; everyone formally requests Kōmei to join them. Ryofu shows up because the smell of the steamed buns Kōmei is eating, and Kōmei offers her one; while watching her eat, everyone offers her some of their food.

At a riverbank, Chōryō has beaten a few delinquents and is met by an unknown person. Later at a family restaurant, Kyocho is being invited to participate in the Student Council President tournament by a masked woman. Late at night in front of the school, Kōsonsan is trying to recruit people to join her for the tournament and offers a picture of her for their cell phone for those who’ll join her; unfortunately, no one is there except an elderly woman who points out no one is there. As Kōsonsan is about to give up, the masked woman from earlier appears before her. The next day, the tournament begins; Kan’u’s group encounter’s Sōsō’s group and Sōsō comment’s that she’ll win and get Kan’u. In the announcer’s box with the announcer is Kōchū, who is a commentator. The teams come in; the first group is the Sōsō faction, followed by the Tōtaku faction, followed by the Sonken faction, followed by the Kōsonsan faction (who seems to have the masked woman, Chōryō, and Kyocho), followed by the Kan’u faction, and finally the Enshō faction (who Rinrin has sided with). The school Chairman Chōsen makes a speech before the start of the competition telling everyone to do their best; while hulking out of his suit into a thong, to everyone’s surprise and disgust.

The first competition is the three-legged race with Kan’u’s faction versus Tōtaku; for Kan’u’s team Bachō and Chō’un are commenting, for Tōtaku it’s Ryofu and Kayū. The race begins, and Bachō and Chō’un have a steady pace; unfortunately Ryofu and Kayū trip on their first step together, putting Bachō and Chō’un in the lead. Just as Bachō and Chō’un, Kaku has Tōtaku “bully” Ryofu’s small dog in an attempt to motivate Ryofu. The ploy works and Ryofu runs to victory while dragging Kayū on floor as she runs to save her dog. At least it appeared that way, when looking at the photo-finish Bachō’s breast hit the finish line first so Kan’u’s team wins this round. The next match is a “Borrowed Items” race with the Kōsonsan faction going against the Sonken faction with Kōsonsan and Sonken competing. Both contestants pick up their cards, and Kōsonsan is horrified to see that her item is the school chairman’s armpit hair; while Kōsonsan is struggling to decide what to do, Sonken runs up to the masked woman in Kōsonsan’s team and takes her hand to drag her to the finish line. Kōchū speculates that maybe Sonken’s card had “Someone you like” written on it; meanwhile Kōsonsan is with the school chairman still struggling to get his armpit hair and unfortunately faints. Sonken crosses the finish line and wins; Sonken shows her card to the masked woman revealing it to be “Someone you know” and the masked woman realizes Sonken knew who she was all along and takes off her mask revealing herself to be Shūyu.

During the third match, Kan’u and Kōmei are trying to buy bread from the cafeteria; however, someone has apparently bought all the bread. Meanwhile at Sōsō’s team, Kakōen informs Sōsō that she was unable to obtain egg sandwich from the cafeteria and Sōsō believes it to be Enshō’s doing as rumor has it that egg sandwiches are a source of power for Ririn and having that many egg sandwiches will make her a difficult enemy. In a classroom somewhere, Sōsō’s suspicions are confirmed as Enshō has bought all the bread and her team is currently eating them. Rinrin is indulging herself in all the egg sandwiches, but pauses briefly when she remembers what Kan’u said about being selfish.

The second half of the tournament starts and the field this time is the pool. The battle this time is a “Pool Sumo” (basically it’s a small floated circular area on the water where you push your opponent out of the ring and into the water) with the Enshō faction versus the Sōsō faction. Rinrin is able to get a series of easy victories off of Kakōton, Kakōen, and Jun’iku since they let their guard down as they are embarrassed that they are forced to wear only a Sumo thong; Rinrin, not ashamed of being seen topless, easily butt-bumps Sōsō’s team out of the ring. Being driven into a corner, Sōsō gets serious and enters the ring; having put band-aids over her nipples to cover up. Though since Sōsō is covering up, there is a judgment on whether or not she is breaking the rules; fortunately for her, the school chairman rules that it’s ok since it’s still erotic. Rinrin is struggling to ring-out a serious Sōsō, so Enshō begins her distraction strategy by having her, Bunshū, and Ganryō perform a ridiculous cheer wearing an even more ridiculous swan/okama Sumo thing. The plan works and Sōsō begins to laugh; Rinrin uses this chance, and bumps Sōsō into the water. Enshō advances, with Sōsō feeling disgraced; Ririn smirks at Kan’u smugly. The next match is Pool Calvary with the Kan’u faction against the Sonken faction with Kōmei and Sonshōkō as the head of their respective teams. The match begins with Daikyō and Shōkyō singing Yappari Sekai wa Atashi Legend! during the match. The match begins with Sonshōkō kicking some water at Chō’un; Kōmei tells her to endure it, and has her team circling Sonken’s group. The circling continues for a while, and Shūyu notices Kōmei’s strategy. All of sudden Kōmei has everyone go on the offensive, and as Sonken’s group tries to react to it, Rikuson’s top comes off; causing Rikuson to cower beneath the water, thus leaving Sonshōkō vulnerable. Kōmei uses this chance to rush in and grabs Sonshōkō’s headband and wins the match. Shūyu explains Kōmei ’s strategy, saying that by having Rikuson constantly turning around and suddenly turning the other way; the water filled her top like a sail and caused it to tear off (think of it like a strong wind hitting a sail that’s tied with thread instead of rope).

So the Kan’u faction moves on to face the Enshō faction in the final round; the final round being a freestyle swimming relay race. The starters are Bunshū for Enshō and Ka’Chō Kamen (Masked Butterfly) for Kan’u. When the referee asks if it’s alright for Ka’Chō Kamen to compete for Kan’u; Kōchū comments it’s fine since Ka’Chō Kamen is actually Chō’un. Though before she can reveal that, everything goes to static; with Kōchū missing, and Ka’Chō Kamen and Bunshū swimming using the butterfly stroke. Next is Bachō and Ganryō; Bachō is able to touch wall first, and Kōmei gets a head start on Enshō. Unfortunately, Kōmei can’t swim and is slowly kicking away using a kickboard. Bunshū believes this to be a chance, but forgets that Enshō also can’t swim and is using an innertube. Kōmei finally makes it to the end and leaves the rest to Kan’u; Kan’u makes it halfway when Ririn starts, but Rinrin is able to easily close the gap and even passes Kan’u. Unfortunately, she gets a cramp from eating all those egg sandwiches earlier and begins to sink. Rinrin wakes up with Kan’u watching over her; Kan’u saved Rinrin giving up the race to do so. Rinrin apologizes to Kan’u and the two make up; Kōmei even offers Rinrin her egg sandwich, and Rinrin apologizes to Kōmei.

Since Kan’u has forfeited the race to save Rinrin, that makes Enshō the winner of the tournament. At the closing ceremony, the school chairman gives Enshō her trophy………. as well as her other prize; which is a hot kiss from the school chairman. Later it is revealed what happened to Kōchū, she was tied up in a Karada style bondage harness and is still locked in a storage room at nightfall.

Opinions:

I’m so glad they chose to make the OVA occur during modern times. We get to see the characters wear clothes they normally don’t wear; I especially loved seeing Sonken’s team in bloomers and swimsuits. I also gotta say, I agree with Chōsen; band-aid covered nipples are erotic! In some cases, even more so than just bare breasts. Am I right? In any case this OVA is an obvious fan-service dedicated episode, and I would love to see a more adventures occurring in modern times. Heck, I’m hoping that they’ll put in the new characters like Ryubi. Well, I don’t know if I should be that greedy; it was just good to see these characters again, and even more so in an unusual situation (at least unusual for the setting).
