Summary:

Kaoru and Junichi are stranded after their bus leaves without them. Luckily for them a trucker passes by them and gives them a lift to the onsen inn that they’ll be staying at. Once Junichi and Kaoru arrive at the onsen, they find that it’s different than what they imagined as the inn feels like it’s out of a horror movie, but nonetheless they manage to enjoy the inn. Trouble hits the two again when they leave the inn and remember that they have no money after paying for the inn. Junichi and Kaoru get into a fight and start blaming each other, but are able to make up after it rains and they’ve cooled off. The two walk around aimlessly and eventually end up at the beach where they play around chasing each other. The two get saved when Umehara passes by in a boat and greets them. So the two’s trip ends well, and the usual school days continue for Junichi and Kaoru.

Opinions:

Ok, so I was right about someone “conveniently” showing up to rescue Junichi and Kaoru (Granted it was at the end of the episode, but still).  The whole arc seemed a bit lackluster to me. I don’t know, I kinda liked the first season of Amagami but I’m a little disappointed so far. Is it because the story arcs were longer for the first season? It’s true that 2 episodes isn’t a lot of time to do a story arc, but I still feel there’s some kind of spark missing. Maybe it’s from the fact that the first season focused on Junichi trying to get the girl, and now there isn’t much left after that? In any case it look like Sae’s the next girl and I remember her story arc being one of the more funny ones last time, so maybe there’s some hope yet?
