Amagami SS+Plus Episode 11

Summary:

It’s been a few months since Haruka and Junichi have started dating. Haruka talks to Hibiki about how cute Junichi is and about her cousin Jessica Sexy Morishita and how her boyfriend proposed to her at her graduation just like how her grandfather proposed to her grandmother. Haruka tells Hibiki that she always told Jessica how much she wanted a marriage like her grandmother and grandfather’s. Throughout the day Haruka subconsciously drops heavy hints that she wants Junichi to propose to her; though Junichi is oblivious to them. Haruka’s cousin Jessica visits her to see how she’s doing with her boyfriend. Haruka gets upset when Jessica almost tells Junichi about how she and her grandmother got proposed to before their graduation. Haruka later tells her that she doesn’t want Junichi to know, but Jessica tells her that she asked her boyfriend to propose her. Haruka replies that she doesn’t want to seem like she’s eager to get married. Jessica tells her that she’s running out of time.

The next day Junichi notices that Haruka is acting strange. He gets called into the school office later to answer a call from Jessica who tells him that Haruka is feeling lonely and tells him to be more proactive otherwise Haruka will get taken away from him. Junichi later confronts Haruka at the old shed at school where he licked the back of Haruka’s knee a few months ago. Junichi tells Haruka that he loves her and won’t let her feel lonely. Haruka correctly guess that he talked with Jessica and reassures him that she loves him. Junichi starts to feel reassured and on the walk home with Haruka he invites her to come over his house.

Opinions:

This story arc seems to be a little better to me compared to the other ones. The main reason being that we saw that Haruka and Junichi get married in the last season so this arc sort of fills the gap from when they’re dating to when they get married. It was pretty cute how Haruka wanted Junichi to propose to her, but didn’t want to ask him because she didn’t want to appear as if she was desperate to get married.  Kind of like Shizuka Ito’s other role Hinagiku from Hayate no Gotoku isn’t it? Well next episode Haruka will be staying over at Junichi’s and that should prove to be interesting. On a side note, it was pretty funny when Junichi was imagining an “American” Miya. Come to think of it, I was hoping they would bring up why Miya is so hostile against Haruka. I’m fairly certain I know why, but with her being that way you’d think it’d proving to be something of an obstacle when Junichi and Haruka marry.
